Spa Etiquette and FAQ
Appointments
Scheduling your appointment prior to preferred visit time at J. Scott’s Skin Care & Day Spa is highly recommended. Reservations are subject to availability, and must be guaranteed with a credit card. Please notify our front desk staff if you are pregnant, have any physical limitations or special needs, as they may affect your choice of services. We also need to know if you have a special event or function in the near future to make sure we choose the right service for you.
Cancellations
Treatment times are reserved especially for you. We ask that cancellations or changes to appointments be made at least 48 hours in advance for single services and 72 hours in advance for multiple treatments and/or Spa Days. A 25% charge will be applied to your credit card for failure to follow this policy.
No Show Appointments
Since your treatment time is reserved especially for you only, failure to show for your appointment leaves an empty time slot for our technician. We understand that emergencies happen and therefore J. Scott’s allows one no show appointment. If there is subsequent no show appointments, your credit card will be charged the full amount of the scheduled appointment service.
Arrival
We ask that all new clients of J. Scott’s arrive 20 minutes before their scheduled appointment time. All returning clients need to arrive 10 minutes before their scheduled appointment. As a courtesy to following clients and to your technician(s), late arrivals will only receive the remaining available time and will be charged the full service fee.
Prices and Gratuities
We accept Mastcard, Visa, personal checks, traveler checks and cash. There will be a $20 charge for all returned checks. Gratuity can be added directly to your check or credit card. Please inform our front desk team member of your desire to add gratuity and the amount you would like to add. You can also leave a cash gratuity to your technician(s) by leaving it with our front desk team member.
Gift Certificates
A J. Scott’s team member will be happy to provide recommendations for a gift of health, relaxation and beauty to fit any taste and personality. Our gift certificates come in a beautiful silver box ready to make a lasting impression.
You may purchase a gift certificate for a certain service(s), product, or for a dollar amount. Our gift certificates may not be redeemed for cash. Gift Certificates may be purchased at J. Scott’s front desk, by phone, or by clicking here.
Cell Phones
In consideration of our guests, we ask that you turn off your cell phone and/or pager before entering the spa. If you are expecting an important call, you may leave your phone or pager at the front desk and a J. Scott's team member will answer it for you.
Valuables
J. Scott’s is not responsible for damage or loss of your personal belongings. Our recommendation is not to bring valuables to the Spa.
Children
All spa clients must be 16 or older to schedule their own treatment. Younger clients will need to have a parent or guardian present for their treatment.
