Help elect J. Scott Berry KING REX of Leesburg Mardi Gras 2010
Each year the Leesburg Partnership sponsors a “FUN-raising” contest and event for Mardi Gras. Different community leaders “run” for Mardi Gras King Rex or Queen Divine and our very own J. Scott Berry is running for King Rex. How can you help him get elected? DOLLARS = VOTES! Whoever raises the most $$ wins the crown and you know J. Scott would love to have that crown on his head. The money all goes to the Leesburg Partnership which in turn all goes back out to the community. We are thankful to the Partnership for what they’ve done to revitalize and improve Leesburg, the way they bring hundreds of thousands of people to Leesburg to support our businesses and spend their money. Their beautification programs are very successful and this is how we support this non-profit organization.
You know that J. Scott is all about the community, he’s often said: “This is my community, they support me and it’s an honor to give back to them”. In addition, you know he’s all about the FUN and Mardi Gras is the most fun you can ever have at a fund-raiser. There are different mixer events where all the candidates compete for prize money towards their campaign and there are different individual ways that J. Scott will be competing.
We encourage you to participate in as many ways as possible, including donate some of your hard-earned money. Now of course there are rules, we can’t accept any donations except between January 12th and February 18th 2010. Checks need to be made out to Leesburg Partnership with “J. Scott” in the memo line of the check and of course you can donate cash. J. Scott’s Skin Care & Day Spa is a place that donations can be dropped off BUT we’ll be happy to come to you to pick up a check. If you’d like to make a donation and want us to come collect it, purchase some of our raffle tickets or buy tickets to an event, please send Scott an email jscottberry@jscottsdayspa.com or call the spa 352-787-7722, talk to Tom Smith and we’ll make arrangements asap.
We can use all the help we can get and are looking for volunteers. We need people to help at the different events with set-up, decoration, taking pictures, making sure the guests are taken care of, selling tickets, selling beads, selling yourselves (just kidding, actually if it works – go for it), cleaning up, etc . Below are the dates of different events, let us know when you’re available. Thanks for taking time to consider this and look for more information coming during the Mardi Gras Season.
